NSC announced recently CedeFTP Server, a mobile FTP server for Pocket PC. Since the retail price is $349.95 USD, I assume that NSC primarily targets Enterprise. I definately see that CedeFTP enables quite a few new business scenarios and solutions.

"CedeFTP Server addresses several market demands: wireless users who need to receive information from multiple sources, embedded and industrial manufacturers who require a method of retrieving information from devices in the field, and companies who wish to deliver compact and mobile server solutions. ...

� A scalable and reliable solution. Up to 64 simultaneous connections, and 16384 user profiles are supported.

� Industry standard RFC959 (FTP) compliance. Windows, Unix, Macintosh, and handheld compatible.

� Firewall compatible; supports adjustable security options. Restartable file transfer operations. If a session is terminated prematurely, the user can relogin and resume the upload or download."

OK, the FTP server listed seems to have more functionality but this one is FREE.

I have not used this software but I have used others from this site and they work OK if you make all the registry entries and install all the helper libraries.

I am waiting for the iPaq ROM update and then I will be setting up the Apache webserver from this site.
