Where did that HTC Wallaby/Spaceneedle/XDA post go?
Some of you may have noticed that last week we had a link to a review of the HTC Phone Edition hardware by Marc Zimmermann, and then it was gone. Well, Marc has been asked to take it down, so we in turn took our link down. I'm not sure of all the issues, but it has something to do with the embargo that 02 has on the product - they have exclusive rights to it for a given period of time.
Of course, you can still read a review over at Brighthand - it's the same product, but with North American GPRS frequencies. This whole mess is quite confusing - the Brighthand review, written by Derek Mitchell back in early May, has "02 XDA" stamped all over it. In reality, however, Derek reviewed the generic HTC hardware - the 02 XDA is a custom-branded version of the HTC hardware with unique software and accessories that don't come on the generic HTC. Not that that's stopped the lucky souls who have the HTC hardware from ordering 02 accessories. And to confuse matters even more, you can pre-order the North-American GSM version today from Expansys. Clear as mud? Yup.

Eh? Which first question? What you get ("isn't this device...") depends more or less on where you get it. So I don't think that there is a definitive answer - unless I'm missing something.
