Primavera is Microsoft Project's biggest competitor. Primavera releases "Primavera(R) Mobile Manager, for its Primavera TeamPlay(R) project management suite that is compatible with the Palm OS(R) and Pocket PC platforms."

Project management is one of the more obvious enterprise processes to mobilize. Strange that Microsoft Project didn't see that coming before Primavera did. Wonder when...

"Mobile information technology executives, software developers and team members can now conveniently view, collect and change project information using handheld devices. This easy access to project information while traveling or at a client's site helps project participants to efficiently use time and coordinate project efforts. Primavera Mobile Manager lets users download up-to-date project details and assignments and upload project and activity status for better project management."

Default Use cyProj for MS Project files
There is a PocketPC application that will view/edit MS Project Files. cyWren System has a application called cyProj. I have been using it and it works well. There is a MS Project plugin that is required from cyWren that allows you to export project files. There website: http://www.cywrensystems.com/products.htm
