Default Netrunner 2.0 Released

http://www.pcdemano.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=51

Netrunner, a networking client for Pocket PC 2002 devices, has been updated to the 2.0 level.

"I have worked out Netrunner 2. I know I know I'm a lazy person. This time there are no significant improvements, but a more polished interface. For me the coolest thing is the new icon, but some other new features:

 New interface
New bugs (the old ones have been crunched)
You can modify the advanced options of the redirector (that was easy)
You can connect with default credentials, or use specific ones (not sure if this works)
You can explore your network (not really)
And the cool new icon (again)"

I played with Netrunner when it first came out and it worked well. Since then there have been other implementations of the same built in capability. The OS apparently allows it, you just need to access it. Thought it was kind of ammusing that the demo shots on the site were of Resco Explorer, the latest version of which already has the ability to map network drives.

Incidentally, with Resco I can open files directly off of a network share (without copying them to my Jornada first. I know I can open Word Docs and pictures. Don't recall if I opened a video or audio file. That function just isn't that important to me. I don't know if that is unique to Resco or not.

Can I access network shares a few layers deep with the passthrough in the cradle?

No, you cannot access network shares via the pass-through on the cradle at all. For network access you must be directly connected to the network, via ethernet, 802.11, etc.

Cradle pass-through sets up your desktop to act as a proxy out of your network, web browsing, mail retrieval. It does not set it up to look at things within it.
