iTunes takes a long time to start

David Prahl Pontificator Join Date: Feb 2004 Posts: 1,398		iTunes takes a long time to start I love my iTunes, and have been using it almost exclusively for a few months. However, I just can't get over the fact that it takes so long to start up. A little fun with my P4 @ 2.6 GHz and a stopwatch: Windows Media player 9 in 0.92 seconds. Adobe Audition in 2.94 seconds. Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8.1 in 16.46 seconds. AND... Apple iTunes 4.5 in 11.56 seconds. Is everyone else having this huge lag?
