Default TFT Monitor for TV?

LCD TVs are still relatively expensive in the 17/19" range compared to the cost of a TFT monitor and TVTuner. I know you can buy these combined but as far as I have seen they have all been analogue TV Tuners. I would like to be able to use a Digital Set top box (UK) with a TFT Monitor without using the PC and video card.

The question is the only monitors I can see that have inputs for SCART/S-Video/Component etc are the ones with the built in tuners, so can the standard monitor input (D-Sub or DVI) take the signal with the correct cable?

Hope that makes sense. If any one wants to know why, it's that TV Tuners are now very low cost (I just paid UK30) as and when PC monitors get better I can upgrade and pass the old monitor with TV Tuner to another room for use as a TV/ Media monitor.

THanks, Alan
