From their perspective, every mobile device is a potential network security leak to be plugged and a potential data theft liability. Building a more secure deployment of mobile devices is crucial, but must also be balanced with providing a seamless and intuitive user experience. "

TechNet Magazine has a published a great article which highlights more than a few security measures that are built into Windows Mobile Standard and Professional, as well as Microsoft's Exchange Server. Out of all of the security precautions my favorite is the "Remote Wipe" feature. I love this feature so much; it baffles me that wireless carriers haven't built this into the regular batch of features that are included into almost every handset produced. :|
