PRESS RELEASE from www.mDigger.com
Beta version of Brand New Mobile Internet Service, mDigger, was launched on January 18, 2007
San Jose, California-based Quarta Mobile, Inc. is launching the beta version of a new mobile Internet service on January 18, 2007. The service, called mDigger, is free to users worldwide and transforms traditional Internet-based content into a format ideal for mobile devices. The result is a rich, mobile-friendly Web experience.
Users no longer have to wait for their favorite websites to go mobile. The mDigger Service offers a dynamic solution for the mobilization of such sites and other Web information resources by using special applications to automate information search, selection, transformation and presentation processes. Each web resource is presented within the Service as a separate channel. Users can personalize their experience by subscribing to all the channels they want or by developing their own channels.
The mDigger Service works with nearly any mobile device (smart phones, PDAs, etc.). It requires no synchronization with desktop PCs, and is easy to update. Information may be viewed online or offline, either directly with the devices Web browser or with the aid of a client application. The Service saves on traffic, enables quick download times and displays Web content in a format tailored to the screen resolution and navigation requirements of the users particular mobile device.
mDigger is not just for mobile device end-users. The Service also actively cooperates with Website and Web information resource owners who wish to make content available, commercially or otherwise, to the mobile device user market.
In addition, mDigger Service supports open standards and encourages developers to make use of its free tools and forum to develop and test their own applications for the Service.
Users may sign up for the service at www.mdigger.com. Find out more about Quarta Mobile at www.quartamobile.com.
