Cingular to Re-Brand as AT&T

The change is spurred by SBC (Cigular's parent company) buying out AT&T and getting rights to the name. Last year Cingular bought out AT&T Wireless and converted it under its existing brand." Can't we just bury that brand name once and for all? I know it is recognized everywhere but for what? A dinosaur company that made huge mistakes and ended up being buried? AT&T R.I.P already! I like the Cingular name and logo. This is silly.
