"Since 2002, Sprint has rallied the nation for Cell Phone Courtesy Month in July. But are things getting better? Unfortunately, no. Cell Phone Courtesy Month doesnt work if cell phone users arent aware that they are not being courteous in the first place, says etiquette expert Barbara Pachter. A better idea would be to institute Cell Phone Jerk Assertiveness Month." People need to stand up for themselves if they are disturbed by cell phone jerksbut they need to do it in the right way."
You know there is another solution to this problem. Everyone gets a cell phone and we all just talk to each other on phones, even the person sitting next to us. Ok but seriously, maybe more Smartphones will help. I find myself using the phone much more for email and SMS than actually talking.
