Can I use an unlocked Audiovox SMT5600 on Cingular?

Default Can I use an unlocked Audiovox SMT5600 on Cingular?
I'm now on my second MPX220, and it sucks like the first one. I can hear the other person ok most of the time, but they can not hear me about 90% of the time. I'm forced to use my bluetooth headset all the time. Anyhow, my question is: If I go out and buy an unlocked Audiovox SMT5600 phone, can I get it to work with my existing Cingular service?
