Default TI To Bring Smaller Radio Chips

http://money.cnn.com/2004/02/16/technology/texas_instruments.reut/index.htm

Texas Instruments has announced a plan to bring smaller radio chips for cellular phones to market by the end of this year. The new chip will host common multiple phone functions and reduce both the size and power consumption of the combined features by about 50 percent. This will leave phone manufacturers with more room to add new features, like WiFi or GPS, to their devices. TI also plans similar consolidations with W-CDMA and WiFi chips.
