Safari Web Browser Hits 5% of Global Browser Usage
"With Macs making up a record high percentage of computers accessing the Internet, Apple's browser is also reaching new heights." ![](http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/at/auto/1317506793.usr105634.jpg)
5.02% to be exact, according to Net Applications. Also according to them, it's the first time Safari has broken that 5% barrier. The breakdown is Internet Explorer at the top with just under 55%, followed by everyone else. No big surprise there really. Also, in similar news, Mac Web access is at 6.45% worldwide, up from 6% in August, which is also a first. This is pretty small potatoes when compared to Windows, since Windows has 92% of the worldwide market cornered. Also, not a big surprise. But improvement is improvement so kudos to Apple.
