Default SpeedTest Update Tells You About Your Need For Speed

http://ca.lifehacker.com/5778635/sp...with-your-peers

"Bandwidth-measuring site Speedtest.net updated today with a new look, more accurate bandwidth measuring tools, and a new feature, called Speed Wave, that allows you to compare your speeds with your peers."

If you have ever been obsessed with getting a faster Internet connection, you have probably heard of SpeedTest.net.  If you haven't, SpeedTest.net is a site, sponsored by various companies, which performs a few tests on your Internet connection to see just how fast you can really go on the Information Superhighway.  The most recent update ads a few new features, including SpeedWave, which is sort of a social bragging tool.  While neat, I mostly find it depressing, as I am far down the list in terms of speed, and unless I go ISP hopping on a regular basis, it is not likely that my speed will change anytime soon.  How do you rank?  Does your actual speed come close to your contracted speed?
