"Glassgate" Leads Apple to Pull Slider Cases from Store
"According to Cult of Mac, Apple's retail stores are no longer selling slider cases for the iPhone 4 because of what's been referred to as 'Glassgate' - the scratching and cracking of the iPhone 4's glass due to trapped dirt. Even cases that are part of Apple's 'made for iPhone' program are reportedly being pulled." I have not seen an example of this in the wild, but I'm glad Apple is being proactive while they investigate this problem. It's going to hurt the bottom lines of a lot of case companies, but it'll probably save Apple from later trouble if "glassgate" is real. Have you had a problem with slider cases cracking your iPhone 4's glass?
