DVI and 720p My uncle gave my wife and I an older Maxent 720p TV, which I was thrilled about primarily due to it's DVI input. I promptly dug my DVI cable out of my box-o-stuff, and installed Boxee on an Ubuntu machine for HTPC use.

I'm having major problems getting my GeForce 6200 to output to the TV though, at 1280x720x60 at 1:1 on the TV, it doesn't fill the entire screen, and at 16:1 the very tops and bottoms are cut off, and the picture shifts up and down one pixel per frame, which makes viewing hardly relaxing.

Unfortunately I do not have a VGA cable. Is 1280x720 the correct resolution for the TV?

I'm guessing it's at the wonderful resolution of 1366x768.

You are right, which is weird to me. I would think that "720" would mean "720 pixels."
