The iPad has such tremendous mindshare, so initially a lot of people will think of that product if they think about getting a tablet. But the iPad has a powerful advantage when it comes to apps and ecosystem as well: as much as I loathe iTunes, Apple has an ecosystem that offers a LOT of apps, music, and movies. Android simply can't offer things to the same level.
