I think this is smart. I think there is good reason the Dinc2, Dx2, and D3 are all 3G devices. LTE is just too new basically. Battery life is worse, there have been major connectivity issues (even with 3G connectivity on the Tbolt), coverage is poor compared to 3G, and most people have no need for more bandwidth on their phone.
I wonder if this comes with Android 2.3.4 - supposedly the first version with battery life fixes for dual-core CPU's?
I think moving to qHD is smart! I hope it doesn't introduce app compatibility problems.
