wow - talk about a review hitting the highs and hammering on the lows of a device. Impressive performance tied to ergonomics that frankly more resemble a $99-199 tablet. Bad viewing angles on a mediocre panel, slow UI, lousy brightness, etc; As they stated, waiting for the full review may provide some answers, as well as seeing if the 'plain vanilla' OS overcomes some of the shortcomings. Those performance numbers are impressive, if I were a gamer. But a better user experience is my main concern, and Viewsonic may need to take this one back to the labs ... Galaxy Tab wins by default, but I'm still considering a Dell Streak to replace my iPhone *and* iPad with one device (when something newer than Android 1.6 is standard, that is / early January shipping unlocked with 2.2).
