hehe exactly. I don't every go to google.com to search, on my desktop or my phone. So this is pretty pointless to me. I would have never noticed it had it not been for the news posts.
But I suppose a lot of people still actually go to the site to search. One of my co-workers does it and it drives me nuts! Why are you typing google.com when you could just type your search right there?

Though it does seem to work well, for what it's worth.
