I think it's gimmicky and lame. Add a touchscreen, but reduce the screen size, take away video playback (and video recording), take away the accelerometer, keep storage at the same place it's been since 2008, and keep the same price points. What??? I mean don't get me wrong, I love the touchscreen on my iPhone, but my old nano is much easier to call up a song on, esp. 1-handed. But the big crime I think is removing the video playback.
But that's neither here nor there- I stopped buying iPods when I got my first iPhone. They're interesting and cool looking, but no longer necessary for me.
