I totally agree. Gmail antispam is fine but having used ipod mail application for a few months, I have seen the number of spam increasing dramatically. So if I want to check the sapm to identify mail falsely marked as spam, I have to waste more and more time (whatever good is gmail, it can't be perfect all time). Apple has a few things to learn there as the problem is quite similar with Mac OS X mail application: by default, images are downloading, spam included. Operating system is definitely better but amil application is quit poor compared to Outlook / Outlook Express.
Would anyone suggest a better iphone mail application ?
