Yes she does, a Digital Rebel from several years ago (can't recall the exact model number but is an entry level DSLR).
She wants more out of her camera, and I figured the D80 successor to be the better choice over the D60. She takes a photo class where everyone uses Nikon, and since the glass in her kit isn't anything special, now is a good time to make the transition.
