Can't contact is one thing. In this case, a configuration error seems to be causing the mail server to actively reject email, which generates a permanent failure, so the mail will not be redelivered automatically. |
When the post said the "magical orb of energy went kaput", that made it sound like the mail server had lost power (and therefore couldn't be contacted by other servers). That's the problem with "cute" explanations, I guess.
