Seemed obvious to me too, but I guess you have to keep in mind people's ages... this was probably a little too "old school" for a lot of people here...
Guys, relax... Have a little fun with it...

Hey, that's one of the great things about PPCT - you gets all kinds of stuff on the front page - including things we can have a good laugh about. Every front page post isn't necessarily about PPCs or related technology. It's good to kick back every now and again. I like it! :way to go:

BTW - nice one Honda_Civic_Si. 8)

What is also funny is that I've never heard anyone use it in a bad way... but VBScript on the other hand.... the mother of all virus tools (especially the outlook viruses....)

I remembered it from headlines here in NZ, but a quick google brought up the home page (search for SATAN).

Although the tool was *supposed* to be used by Net Admins to uncover vulnerabilities in their networks, it quickly became apparent that *bad* people could use it to find and exploit holes in networks...

That's true of any vulnerability assessors, though. nmap is another great example. I use it legitimately all the time to see how locked down my box is, but I'm sure crackers use it to find holes....
