I don't think it's that dangerous to microwave CD's... I've been doing it for years... I usually just throw them in for 3 seconds on 'high'... and stop them right after the lights stop. The less graphics on the CD, the better (whatever they use to print them makes some pretty nasty smelling smoke). Also, it doesn't work very good with CD-Rs or -RWs.

Ha! This is the coolest thread I've seen in a while!

I never knew about any of these tricks... those CD pyrotechnics dropped my jaw. That grape trick is unbelievable!!

BTW, what's being used to hold those CD's up?
