I saw some evidence of the popularity of Zune's this Christmas by looking at what was left in Target and Best Buy stores in my area. (My research was based on unscientific observations of available product and whether the displays on Dec. 26 appeared picked over or neatly arranged. The findings: no Zune 80s, a handful of Zune 4 and 8s and Zune display areas that showed signs of heavy use. Contrasted with well depleted but still plentiful iPods and well stocked and looking barely touched Sansas.) I've been on the road a lot this month and maybe I missed it, but December sales figures should have been released be now. Anyone heard anything?
