I guess I will hold out hope for a little that the rumors of an upgrade to WMC for Vista Ultimate is truely in the works.
Right now me and the wife are having a battle about which media extender to go with for the living room. The debate is Xbox 360 or iTV. We have a fair bit of music in iTunes but no other types of media, I would like an Xbox 360 but don't have one. So everything is at the cusp and theoretical.
If I can find a good DVR solution that piggy backs on the MS route I could probably swing the tide as most shows would be off cable and not purchased through an online store. That and a movie database (don't ask for details =) where we would have all our owned DVDs to media-less format.
