"Shooting Digital" by Mikkel Aaland
I'm just reading through this book and am finding it a very enjoyable read. It's aimed at the starter to intermediate level photographer who may be just new to the digital world, or for the non-pro looking for some extra hints/help.
Lots of examples, situations, pictures, and simple explanations as to 'how things work', for all different types of photography.
Highly recommended.
