Now they're releasing their smallest receiver yet, sporting a number of nice features including a user-replaceable Lithium Ion battery, USB charging support, a rubberized anti-slip shell, and the ever-ubiquitous SiRFstarII chipset. This tiny little package is all made available for the tidy MSRP of $99.99.

But isn't the SiRFstarII chipset rather old? Even the SiRFstarIII chipset has been around nearly forever.

It is a SiRF Star III (http://www.emtac.com/products/bluetooth/datasheet_minis3.html).

That's what I figured, judging by the name. I happened to miss the line right at the top of the linked page that said SiRF Star III.

Also, it appears that there will be two versions: A standard version and a WAAS-enabled version. Link here (http://www.transplantgps.com/minis3.html).
