I just dropped my H4155 and broke the LCD.
Arrrgggghhhhh!!!
I really depend on it a lot for PIM tasks and occasional web and e-mail use when at a hotspot.
I have not been keeping up with the PPC marketplace lately...what would you folks recommend if my priorities are:
(1) Thin and light
(2) WiFi
(3) BT
TIA!

Depending upon how much you've invested in the device, you might consider replacing the screen. You could order the part (http://tinyurl.com/q443n) and do it yourself or have it repaired (http://www.pocketpctechs.com/main~unit~HP_Compaq_iPAQ_h4155-133~area~repairs-Full+Service+Repairs.htm). Just a thought.

You left out the most important criteria - budget :)

I use this company out of Texas: http://pdasmart.com/
I sent them over 30 broken PDA's (company ones), where most of the damage was due to broken screens.
The company is fast and does good work.

Thanks for the repair advice.
I was actually thinking of using this as an excuse to get a new ppc ;)
Budget??? depends on how cool the machine is! Looking for something comfortable in a shirt pocket.

Based on your needs, I would recommend the Acer n311 all the way. It is actually smaller than the h4150.

Never heard of it!
I'll check it out. Thanks!

Tha Acer N311 looks interesting. Is it available in the US? I am not having any luck finding it.

I am personally happy with my Dell Axim x51. Got it for $550 CDN after tax with a free 256MB Kingston SD memory card, and I topped off the warranty to a 2 year advanced exchange warranty. The extended warranty was a lesson that I learned regarding my old Toshiba e830 and my struggles with it...

Not officially, you would need to import using somewhere like http://www.mobileplanet.com/product.asp?code=132729

Is an official US release anticipated any time soon?

While I will not dispute the fact that the Dell X51 is an excellent PPC, quite frankly compared to a HP 4155 the thing is a freakin brick. I just switched to a X51v from a HP 4150 so I know this little point quite well. If you're going to do that kind of switch, than go for the top end X51v. You might as well pack in as many new goodies as you can if you going to put up with the extra weight and bulk.

As much as I think I'd like the Acer, I don't want to go with a non-US model.
So, I grabbed an HP 1955 today. It doesn't have BT, but the main thing I was using BT for was wireless activesynch...I'm hoping I can get that going via WiFi...
If and when the Acer gets here I may get it and sell the 1955.

uh oh - the rx195x uses the WM5.0 OS, which requires Activesync 4.x, which has wifi sync disabled. You might want to rethink this.
