Pocket PC Phone Settings

I want to get a PPC Phone to use with my T-Mobile SIM. My office supports the Verizon PPC Phones. Since we use MS Exchange and Outlook, what do I need to have our IT department do to have my account push to my T-Mobile number ? or conversly, what do they need to do to let the T-Mobile service pull from my account ?

If you're talking about Server ActiveSync with Exchange 2003, as long as they haven't turned off user-initiated sync setup or custom carriers, it should work just fine. The first time you set it up, the Pocket PC will ask you if you want to do SMS-based push, and if you say yes, you'll be able to enter a custom address; for T-Mobile, if I remember correctly, it's [email protected].

Of course, they may have "locked down" this functionality, which would mean they'd need to either unlock it or punch some settings in.
