This also works on the HTC Wizard devices and maybe all WM 5.0 devices. I have been using it on the Wizard since October.

It also works on my Samsung i730 running WM2003 SE, and the IBM portable java! :)

No Windows Mobile 5 needed! :)

yeah, I have been using the Midlet Manager that comes on the Qtek 9100 (HTC Wizard) and it runs ok... but to run one app to run another? I just go back to IE because it is there.

What it does illustrate however is that MS could do a much better job with Pocket IE.

When you use the keyboard, do you get a single or double characters? With a Smartphone app, no touch screen either... :?

My secret hope, as a Firefox user, is Minimo. It is not really in a truly usable form right now, but it gets better and better at every release.

Huh? What do you mean? Yes, no touch screen, but you can still use the hardware keyboard and the direction buttons. I have not played too much with it though, it was a while ago.

I have tried the Opera for smartphones on my Universal and I didn't like it.
You can't use touch screen and it's not really stable - had to reset my device.
On top of that it is not free. I guess I'll wait for PPC version or until Minimo becomes usable.

Oprea mini does not work on my k-jam. I can't even get it to download. Is there something else I should try or settings I should change?

I think it'll be easier if you all wait for the real Opera for Pocket PC release, hopefully due out sometime early next year. Having said that, this workaround won't stop you die-hard Opera users. ;)

Nope, 0.12 has been, hopefully, released in the meantime (haven't tested it myself as yet because I have to use a pricey GPRS connection here). See my blog for a review of 0.11 - Minimo is really nice!
