I'm looking for a headset for my e830 and I'm having a hard time. I know the e830 uses a 4 pole 3.5mm plug. It's just like a normal 3.5mm headphone jack except the 4th pole is for the mic. This seems to be somewhat non-standard as far as headsets go.

Alternatively and probably the best solution is to get an adapter that will convert a regular cell phone (2.5mm 3 pole) headset to the kind of plug used in the e830. Does anyone know where to get such a thing?

I bought a 3.5mm stereo (male) to 2.5mm stereo (female) at Radio Shack, but on the way home I realized that it wouldn't work.

Near the bottom. Works fine on my Dell X50v as well. Kind of nice for VoIP because you can use just the mono earpiece, or plug stereo phones into it.

Has the same plug as the PC-Mobile one. Fairly nice unit.

Seidio doesn't do a good job of listing their accessories for everything they work on, but this appears to have the same plug, and you can dig around to see other things they have it attached to. Should work fine.
