Where can I get WMP10 for my Xda2s (and will it be worth the effort to upgrade from WMP9)?

I seriously doubt you will get it - very few PPC (PE)'s get the WMP10 upgrade and the XDA II is AFAIK not one of them.

BTW, why don't you post quewstions like this to http://pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=33 ? There're far more PE people there than here.

Thanks for responding :way to go:

I did post something of the sort in the PE forum, but I was not aware that WMP10 was an app limited to PE PPCs, so I thought I would ask here too: firstly to increase my chances of getting an answer and secondly because if I wanted an answer to the question, sure as eggs are eggs, someone else (who may not have a phone edition) would too.

As it happens, you are the only person to answer the question, so my approach appears justified. :)

Thanks again.

No, I meant that PE users most probably check out the PE forums first, and only after that come here (if at all) :)

Martin, other non-PPCPE devices have WMP10 too. Axim X30, Axim X50, iPAQ hx3000, some smartphones... A730 may get it if AKU2 is released for it.

WMP10 upgrades for a given PPC brand can't be used for other brands. See, e.g., http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=36074

Not even for different models of the same brand. Don't try using the 3715 upgrade on your 4700, or your X30 upgrade on your X3.

And it won't have it either. Unless HP issues the WM2005 upgrade for it too, with built-in WMP10(+).
