I've been using Mastersofts Money for ever and think that's a fantastic deal. I have them both unfortunately...

I have been searching for a finance manager. I bought PI six months ago and they are giving me this one now for free. You can't beat a free product - especially one this comprehensive.

hmm.
how do i get it?

i got PI with my loox, and since it's so great i bought PI for my girlfriend's MDA. she's the one who manages our finances, so this program might be useful.

unfortunately, the act of installing the software onto my Dell Axim somehow clobbered the .net CF framework on the system, so now none of my .net programs are working. Each time I try to launch one of the program, I'm hit with an "OverflowException" and dump of information. :(

lauriesue,

I'm just downloading as I type...was that WM2003 you're running, where .net is in ROM? I don't want to screw with my freshly reset, upgraded device if I can help it, so any updates on how you're doing would be great...thanks in advance.

This is such a great deal though...WebIS exceed themselves again.

This application messes severely with .Net. It is not a deal in my mind. I would recommend avoiding. Follow their warnings to backup before installing at all costs! It is in their FAQ for good reasons!

fwiw, I tried BillableBuddy (also a MasterSoft product) on my iPaq 5550 and it didn't want to work with the .Net CF that's in rom, but then that product predates WM2003 by a good six months whereas Mastersoft Money V4.11 was updated Oct 14.

kiwi, you should have iPaq Backup in your ROM, which is a cutdown version (but still excellent) of Sprite Pocket Backup Plus...you should be able to backup to a memory card or the iPaq file store if you have enough room...or do an ActiveSync backup, get ready to make yourself a cuppa it takes a while.

Both covers all the bases just in case, although given the comments above I am reluctant to try installing at all.

Are you following the rugby? I think we're going to kick your colonial backsides!! :D

Jereboam,

thanks for the info.. I think I'll do that later tonight.. I was playing around with NTYDOT (sp?) the other day and thought I should do. When I entered that competition last week to win the case, I had to provide my serial number and had the battery out of the unit too long.. doh!

yeah, just got back from the Pub after watching a replay of the All Blacks Vs Tonga game (SportsNet Canada are showing the replays in the afternoons) . Reading the info on www.rugbyworldcup.com now..
I see you are in Moscow? You supporting Georgia? or with your reference to "Cuppa" - I'm guessing you're a Pom?

If you've ever been to Georgia, the fact that they can even field a team is impressive...a beautiful country but even in the capital Tblisi they turn off the power and hot water to most of the residents...different areas take turns. Their civil war left them in a bad way...and if you're out in the boonies forget it. Great people though...amazing hunting and fishing in the mountains, just steer clear of the Chechen border unless you are, ahem, escorted. I was lucky enough to be with the Minister for Natural Resources... ;)

But I digress...you rumbled me, I'm a Pom, although my loyalties are actually split between England and the 'Boks, since one half of my family is from SA. Either team winning will do, as long as we get to give you guys a good going over at some point... :D

By the way, good score, but we would have made the ton... ;)

I'm actually off to watch Scotland-France in a Canadian-run bar....

I also had a problem with .NET CF after installing Mastersoft Money, but I managed to get it working fairly easily... I uninstalled the .NET CF update and reinstalled all the bits EXCEPT .NET CF - not ideal, but everything now seems to be working :D

I sent Mastersoft an email and got a *very* speedy reply; they didn't know people were having problems, but after a couple of emails back and forth it turns out that MSMSMoney currently uses .NET CF SP2, which Mastersoft didn't realise had been recalled by Microsoft. They're already working on fixing the problem, and after witnessing how quick they are at replying to my email, I don't doubt they'll soon get the issue sorted (don't let me down Dom  )

As binspa said in an earlier post: "you can't beat a free product - especially one this comprehensive."

What a great deal!

How much longer is this deal going on for? I wanted to buy Mastersoft Money, and for an extra five bucks I can get PI?!?! Well hell, I'm all for it...

Well, thanks to markied I was able to get Mastersoft Money to finally work; however, when I run it the app is telling me that I need to register, and that I have only a few days left to use the program... :(

lauriesue,
According to the info I got from handango, I was supposed to send a note to [email protected] with a note containing the serial number from my installation (I can't tell you exactly how to get the serial #, as the option is disabled once you've registered, but I think it is off of the Tools menu).

Hehehe... the discount code for the free MSM still works! :) I just sent my serial request away 10 seconds ago. We'll see when it comes.

But basically install the program. Go to tools, register and it will give you your unique serial number. Email that to the serials email address in the post above and they'll email you your unlock code.
