"The Giant Cheeto of 2003 weighed a mere 6/10th of an ounce - this monster Dorito nugget weighs a full 2.2 ounces! Found in a vending machine snack-sized bag of Doritos by an unemployed Quality Engineer while attending a mandatory help-you-find-a-job Texas Workforce Commission seminar in Austin, Texas, on October 1, 2003."

Erm. I forgot to post the link to the eBay auction.

Check it out here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2955099801).

Also worth mention is this (http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2953823088&category=1468).

I don't know what's more pathetic: The fact that someone is selling this in the first place or that the current price is over US$200 after only ten bids. I'll be stunned if either the bids or the auction itself aren't cancelled before the auction ends.

This makes me feel sad for all of humanity. It also makes the baby Jesus cry in case anyone was wondering.

This is another proof that some people have too much money to spare, and too little life. Really sad.

The high bids might be from friends of the "owner".

Shill bidding? But that's against eBay's terms of service. Surely people wouldn't do that!

Heh. In *this* case, I think they're *expecting* the friend to win...

If that 'thing' really sell for more than $200, when I get home tonight, I will manually make a nugget twice the size, and auction it in ebay.

Those things are not that hard to make, right ? Chicken, flour, bread crust, frying oil, some seasoning ...

I don't think there's chicken in Doritos. You're thinking of Chicken Nuggets, which are different.

Ha ha. My bad. I am on a very strict diet right now (successfully lost 10 kilos in the last 3 weeks) .. and right now, my brain correlates everything with chicken (my favourite meal)

Did you see how much this stupid thing sold for?! A lot of the earlier bids were cancelled, but later bids got it back up to almost US$200. Assuming those aren't bids by the lister's friends, it's just staggering that someone has so much money that they can afford to spend it on something as totally idiotic as this.

Is that really yours? :) I've always wondered something... what's in the center of a rubber band ball? I mean, how does one start the ball?

Not sure what's in the center of this one... I inherited it when it was the size of a baseball...

Ever take a golf ball apart? That's fun!

The center of a rubber band ball is made by knotting up one rubberband and wrapping another rubberband over it until you get a nice lump. As you add more rubber bands, it looses its eliptical shape and becomes more of a ball :multi:

I guess you could just start it around a marble or something, but that would be cheating!
