Microsoft Reports Increased Mobile Division Revenue

Total revenues are up 11 percent over the same quarter last year. Obviously, our main interest relate to Microsoft's Mobile Division. The quarter's revenue is reported to be $44 million, up from $36 million in the same quarter last year. The Mobile Division's revenue grew more than total revenues! Relatively speaking... <br /><br />While this is GREAT news and we congratulate everyone involved in making this happen, we need to stay focused on customer needs and competition. The last quarter, <a href="http://www.nokia.se/about/press/nokia.php?id=752513">Nokia mobile phone sales</a> "rose by 2% year on year, broadly in line with previous guidance, reaching EUR 5.5 billion".

I note the quote in the article is In the company’s mobile and embedded devices business division—which includes sales of its Pocket PC- and Smartphone-based wireless devices—

I wasn't aware that MS sold a single PPC or Smartphone. :? Probably the same division that manufactures the Tablet PCs and markets them under various non-MS brand names.
