Okay - after much waiting my wifi card has finally arrived and my Jornada is now wireless! I have it syncing with my desktop and accessing files over the network at work. However, one thing blights my wifi nirvana - I cannot get it to access the internet....

I have read a heap of stuff on the newsgroups and at various sites but still
cannot figure this out. When the PPC is syncing through the cradle I am
able to use the pass-through internet connection but when it is syncing
through my wifi card this does not work.

I have my connection manager set at to work in all three places and have
ticked that the network connects to the internet but does not use a proxy.
I really cannot think of anything else that I might be missing.

Any ideas/comments?

Do you by chance actually use a proxy at work? You can check on IE on the desktop in the options/connections/lan settings. Connecting via pass-through is different than connecting directly to the network via WiFi.

Also consider that maybe you are not getting all the neccessary IP stuff from the network. There have been some anomalies in DHCP implementation across WiFi vendors.

I agree with what Sven said about DHCP...I had the same problem when setting my iPAQ up last week. For whatever reason I could not get DHCP to work at home, although I could at the office. I had to manully assign an IP address and DNS addresses before I could get online. Good luck!
