WiFi Newbie and setup (HELP!!!!)

I just bought the Linksys WCF12 and already have a wireless network. I am using the Microsoft Wireless Base Station (MN-500). The card setup went smoothly. However, I can't access any websites using IE on my Dell Axim. I keep getting the error message "The page you are looking for cannot be found". I have looked at all my settings and everything seems to be OK. However, I must be missing something. Any suggestions? I know you can help. You guys are great!

Go to the Connection Settings page and make sure that "My Network card connects to:" option = "The Internet".

I did change it to "the internet", but everytime I go back to network connections, it shows "work". In other words, it changes back. I still must be doing something wrong?

...akur meant in the Work settings. Look at Chris De Herrera's Connection Manager FAQ for help setting up the Connection Manager on your device. I recommend using Work Settings, Work Settings and Work as suggested by Chris.

To help troubleshoot network problems download and install both vxUtil and vxIPConfig...Make sure your getting a valid IP and the DNS information is correct.

I had a horrible time getting that to work, but the "Setting Up a Wireless LAN, Part 2" thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2785) finally got me going.

Here are some tips.

You have to sync once using a physical connection before you can sync over WiFi.
Ensure the Connection Settings in ActiveSync has the Allow network (Ethernet) and Remote Access Services (RAS) server connection with this desktop computer setting checked.
Ensure you can access your desktop computer by name (not IP address) from your Pocket PC.

If those don't help, try reading the above thread thoroughly; it's long but worthwhile. Also see Chris de Herrera's ActiveSync Troubleshooting Guide (http://www.cewindows.net/faqs/t-shootactivesync.htm).

OK, after installing those 2 suggested utilities,everything worked great last night. However, this morning, I could not connect to the lnternet. What could have happened overnight? My Axim was off all night. Any ideas? I sure could use some help.
