View Full Version : Axim says "ActiveSync in not responding" everytime I use it but,.........

......it seems to be syncing everything alright. When I use swithcher bar to exit all programs it always brings up this message. In fact this message appears everytime I sync.

Should I try Activesync 3.6?? I'm still using the old version.

I sometimes have to soft reset my Axim before I sync it, and 95% of the time when I yank it out of the cradle ActiveSync is still running in the background and has to be killed manully. I've never seen this with any other Pocket PC, so I think Dell screwed up somehow...there's no harm in ending the task though once you've done synching.

I've got the same problem and have heard others have it as well. I would simply ignore it as I have heard nothing but horror stories from Axim owners who have attempted to use AS 3.6. Expecially those who sync to Avantgo.

AS continues to run on my e310 after I yank it out too. The desktop "turns off".

AS 3.6 works exactly the same as 3.5 did for me. No more or fewer problems.

Thanks all. It doesn't bother me to just ignore it- at least it's working. Just making sure there wasn't something I should do. Thanks for the help! :)

I use to get that message all the time when I used the Dell task switcher. I got SPB pocket plus and it went away. I dont know if pockt plus doesn't try to close activesync and the Dell switcher did or what... but the problem (or the message atleast) is gone. :roll:
