New Axims, New Screens ???

Just received a new production Axim to replace a defective December production Axim. All is great, new processor, sound recorder is fixed, side toggle works great, better battery life but,,,,,,,, the display is not quite as nice as the old one with , lets say a slight yellowish tint to it. Not bad, just not as nice as old Axim. Another poster on another board also noticed this comparing a old Axim to a new one. Anyone else noticed this ???? Did Dell change suppliers ??????

i just got a new axim to replace my old one too... i hadnt really looked at the screens until now, but there is a big difference (the new one has a yellow tint to it)... ill post some pics when i get home

the pic isnt that great but you can sort of see that the axim on the right (which is the new one) has a slightly yellowish tint to it

I think we've sorta established that at least some if not all of the newer production AXIMS have a slightly yellowish tint to their display. Any ideas as to why ?????? Let me repeat thought it's not really that bad , only noticeable if doing a side by side with a old one. And besides , the sound recorder works perfectly on my new one so ......
