Jornada 567 + T68i using IR

I've been trying to connect my Jornada to my T68i using the IR port but they don't see each other, both IR ports work since I use them to Sync with my laptop.
Here is what I've tried:
* Setup the Profiles for GRPS on both the Phone and the PDA according to my carrier specs...
* Activate the IR in both the Phone and the PDA
* Align the ports, and click "Connect" on the PDA
* Nothing Happens, and the PDA times out of the connection

Is there any step I'm missing? do I need to install any drivers on the phone/pda?
