Thanks Vaja! And who won the gift certificates you might ask? Here are the winners:

egads
ale_ers
David Horn
drummrsanonymous
acarney
konstantinos
Bob Christensen

I see quite a few first-time posters entered the contest - now that you have those accounts, I hope you'll post in our forums and share your thoughts with the rest of the community. We want to hear from you!

Winners will be sent an email with instructions on how to claim their prize. I'm sending these to the email addresses you have in your profile, so if don't have a real email address in your profile, and are using something like Spamgourmet to create bogus addresses <cough, cough> you won't get your prize.

I should take this opportunity to point out to the whole community that I hate spam as much as the rest of you, which is why we hacked the phpBB templates to completely remove any trace of your email address from ever appearing on the site. It cannot be crawled, and in fact, a user can't even send an email to you through our system. The only people that have access to your email address are the forum admins, namely me. So please use a valid email address in your profile - thanks.

Woohoo! I won something - thanks Jason! Visit every day, and just dropped in before my mountainbike trip to Scotland this morning. :P

Speaking of which, I'm meant to be catching the bus up there in 20 minutes and I haven't packed yet. *Runs*

Add my "Woohoo!" also!!!
I've been in love with Vaja cases since I bought one for my Casio EM500 years ago. I've had Vaja cases for my Dell X5 and X50v also. I can't wait to get my new case in my hands!!!

Yay! ::sniff:: I'd like to thank Jason for all the wonderful Thoughts sites that I can't go a day without...and.... ::sniff:: vaja for donations and for making the best cases ever...and.... oh my goodness I know I'm forgetting someone (hey, it IS awards season).

Seriously though, can't say thanks enough to Jason and the whole Thoughts crew. I remember back when it just Pocket PC Thoughts, watching for tips for my Nino and then the first color iPaq.

Now I have one less excuse not to upgrade. Hopefully the tax man doesn't taketh too much.

Yeah, I can give this to my wife in time for Valentine's day.

By the way, I hope you have not sent the email already (before the 12th) because I have not seen it yet, and I hope my spam filter has not deleted it. I'm off to make sure Digital Media Thoughts is on the safe list...I got the newsletter on the 8th, so I should be OK.

Jason, w00t! Thanks for the prize!

Regarding fake email addresses and the Spamgourmet reference, I guess it was for me :D

But! It's not a fake email address, and it's not because I believe you guys will spam me (heck, spam is sooo Web 1.0)! If you have a look at its format/schema/what-you-call-it you'll see it allows me to create infinite aliases on the fly and detect where each mail is coming from (helps my filters). So, it's a perfectly valid email address (I even received the invitation to join the Thoughts Media Network forum there).

Anyway I updated my profile with the non-SG email address (the one where all emails end up) -- I shall be expecting for your email.

Hope no offense was taken, and again, thank you for picking me; my iPod and I appreciate it.

(PS: I'm a regular reader of DMT and you can bet that now that I finally got a forum account you'll see me posting the occasional opinion from time to time.)

Good to hear. When I read up on it I saw that it was a disposable email address that was valid for "X" emails before it was shut off, based on the principal that whomever you gave the email address to was going to spam you (this is what the service says). So after reading that I thought that you used it to register for the forums, but everything after that would bounce.

I'll be sending out the winner emails today...

Cool!! I won something! You totally just made my day! I'll also be checking out this place from day to day now, I can never have too many cool web sites that keep up with digital media! I just checked my profile to make sure that I didn't typo my email or anything when I signed up and the correct one is in it, however, I still have not got your email. I hope you just got a little behind on sending out the emails or Gmail or something has been a little slow to get it. :D

Thanks again and a big thanks to Vaja!

Hehe...day-to-day...He's( :?: I'm guessing there) not as addicted as the rest of us yet. I have a folder of bookmarks called "Daily Reading" that's primarily the Thoughts Media sites. You've definitely found one of the coolest digital media sites out there (IMHO anyway).

I still haven't received the e-mail yet either, so you can relax a bit. I'm sure Jason's busy and it's slipped past him a bit. After all, the sun never sets on the Thoughts empire; I'm sure it keeps him rather busy.

Something to consider is that Vaja's a bit backlogged right now - overdemand over the holidays. So even if you all got your coupons yesterday, Vaja's selection is somewhat limited atm.

And Jason, your Affiliate link (http://www.vajacases.com/affiliate&ID=100) is redirecting to http://www.vajacases.com/pda_eng.htm, which 404s. Just an fyi. :)

Oh ya, don't mind the wait at all, just don't want to miss it and have it get lost in spam or anything ;)
