We brought these questions to the Los Angeles Zune preview event, and were able to get answers for most of them. We've listed what we learned below....Q. How quickly does the player start up? A. Zunerama tested this in the hands-on preview. It's almost instantaneous. I tried to time it, and it was very close to a one-second start up time, from being completely off to fully started."

Harvey from Zunerama has a nice series of questions and answers that are worth checking out if you're curious and want to know more. I'm disappointed to read that the Zune will not have a clock display - Harvey jokes "What, did you lose your watch?", but I don't actually wear a watch. When I'm at the local library using my Zen Vision:M to listen to music while I write reviews, I use the clock on the Zen to check the time. It's simple, fast, and convenient - and I can think of no reason why the Zune couldn't also display the time. I can understand the Zune team's desire to keep things simple, but clock functionality is core to any mobile electronic device in this day and age.

I completely sympathize with you, Jason. I never wear a watch myself, and always rely on whatever portable electronic device I have with me for the time.
