<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/subscribe.php' target='_blank'>http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/subscribe.php</a><br /><br /></div>The moment I've been waiting for is finally here: we've <a href="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/subscribe.php">launched our subscriber services</a>! Subscriber services are enhanced services and benefits for people who financially support this Web site. We've created a system whereby we make being a subscriber something valuable – something worth a few of bucks a month, similar to a magazine subscription (but we provide content every day!). We give you new ways to access the information and community you enjoy, work with vendors to get you discounts and special offers, and we let you turn the site into whatever you wanted it to be – stripped down and fast, or huge and content rich.<br /><br />Have you ever found a solution to a problem you were having? Subscribe and support the work we do. Have you ever been bored sitting in the doctor's office? Subscribe and get access to our mobile forums, so you can tap into the awesome Digital Media Thoughts community we have here anywhere, anytime. Have you ever made a buying decision based on a review you read here? Subscribe and support the time it takes to write them. You can probably see a pattern here. <br /><br />You can see a complete list of what each subscriber level offers by <a href="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/subscribe.php">checking the subscriber page</a> - feel free to ask any questions in our forums here about the levels. I'll answer one question right off the bat: unlike Pocket PC Thoughts, here on DMT the application discounts are not available in the DMT Lite package. We've reserved them for the DMT Full package to put more value differentiation between the two levels. But speaking of discounts, here's what you'll get access to as a paying DMT Full subscriber right off the bat:<br /><br />• Save 5% Off Any Tek 'n Toys Purchase (no limit - you can save $100+ on a laptop or other expensive item)<br />• Save $10 or $20 on Roadwired Products with purchases of $50 or $100<br />• Save 20% on muvee autoProducer 3.1 MX <br /><br />I'm also pleased to announce that if you're a subscriber on Pocket PC Thoughts at the PPCT Full or PPCT Deluxe level, <a href="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/subscribe_discounted.php">you'll save some serious coin when subscribing here.</a> :D<br /><br />I want to take this opportunity to give a big public thank you to Fabrizio Fiandanese, who's amazing coding skills are responsible for the new subscriber features, and an even more impressive subscriber back-end system that is insanely cool - so cool that I could show you a screen shot, but then I'd have to...you know. <br /><br />For those that are interested, <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14411">here's the history behind subscriber services</a> and the first instance of us launching them on a Thoughts Media site.<br /><br />Thank you for your support!

That's correct, our system will not let you subscribe unless you're logged in, and if you're logged in, it means that we can flag your username and set things up. Now I have to figure out how our new system works. :-)

How come SPT subscriber services haven't launched yet?

Glad to see this up and running. The level of customization is impressive. Just a little point for clean-up, the preferences page still refers to PPCT in several places instead of DMT. Congrats for getting it fully operational.

Very cool! I'll be subscribing when I get a chance.
The media folder isn't available at PPCT, is it? Awesome idea!

Its very cool for DMT, but maybe a little out of place for PPCT. Seems to me like it might invite warez.
Anyway, happy to be a subscriber Jason!

The Media folder will be available to PPCT Full subscribers once we roll out the updated system there, probably in May. In terms of warez, we're way ahead of you there - we have scripts that checks the MIME type and will only allow media files to be uploaded, not EXE, scripts, or anything else (not even a text file).

It's done!!!!
I received more than $24.00 of advice here in the few days before the site was "officially" open.
More than happy to be a member!!!!

I've only been surfing this site a couple days now, but I really like. I'm thinking about subscribing to this site as well (i'm already subscribed over at PPCThoughts).
I was just curious if you were planning on releasing a Mac OS X version of that personal media folder uploader program? It would be very awesome if you did, as this site seems to focus both on Windows and Mac platforms.

It doesn't work on the Mac? Hmm - it's all just HTML and scripts, so it should work...
Can any Mac users out there who are paying subscribers confirm if this works for you?

Sorry Jason, I didn't realize it was a scripted app. I thought it was a Windows program. I'm not a subscriber as of yet, but if you give me access rights, I'd be willing to test it on Safari, Camino, Firefox, IE, and Mozilla.

That is in my media folder, using Firefox on Windows. Zero problems whatsoever. I'd expect Firefox on Mac to work fine too...

I just tested it on a Mac using Safari, IE and Firefox and it worked on all three. I don't think anyone should have a problem, well maybe if they are using lynx :).
