Outlook Mobile Large Number of Tasks

I have 800-1000 active tasks. Whenever I make a change to any one I get the hour glass for 20-30 seconds while the task list sorts. Is there any way to stop that (i.e - have the system sort all at once at the end of a session or organize the task in a different way, maybe folders to let it work on a smaller number of tasks)? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I think the best thing to do is turn off Task Sync. ;) Or maybe you could try some of the other 3rd party task programs. They might handle that large a number better.
