<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.newsgator.com/news/archive.aspx?post=85' target='_blank'>http://www.newsgator.com/news/archive.aspx?post=85</a><br /><br /></div><i>"NewsGator Technologies, Inc., the leading RSS platform company, today announced that it has expanded its mobile portfolio with new RSS aggregators for Windows Mobile and J2ME-enabled devices. The new products accompany the NewsGator Mobile reader for HTML-enabled devices as part of the industry’s most complete mobile RSS catalog. All three mobile products synchronize with the NewsGator family of products, anchored by NewsGator Online, the company’s Web-based aggregator, allowing customers to read content and manage their subscriptions seamlessly from any device. NewsGator recently acquired the Windows Mobile reader (formerly called SmartRead) and SmartFeed, a mobile podcatching application. Kevin Cawley, creator of the products, has joined the NewsGator team to oversee the company’s mobile product development."</i><br /><br />This is great news. I have been waiting for a solid mobile/desktop RSS synchronizing solution. The biggest problem with a most mobile readers is that they don't sync with my desktop reader - FeedDemon. FeedDemon is a great reader and I have hundreds of feeds in it. Even if I took just a subset of my feeds and loaded them into a mobile reader I would end up reading the same posts again and again as I switch between my Smartphone and my Laptop. So I, for one, am trilled to hear this news.

Glad to hear you are excited about the mobile reader and the sync aspects with NewsGator...

I have been at NewsGator for a few weeks now and have already made good progress and there is a major commitment to mobile! The team is awesome, the API is solid, and having direct contact w/ Greg (founder), Nick (FeedDemon), Nick (Outlook Edition), Brent (NetNewsWire), and Gordon (API) is great. I am psyched about the possibilities...

I've been spamming poor Kevin with ideas already. He's been pretty receptive so far. Hopefully we'll see the fruits of his labor soon!

RSS reader that behaves like the IMAP email client. AWESOME! 8) Now here is an RSS reader that wouldn't mind paying for.

Islanti... I am stoked that you would take the time to send me your feedback. That is terrific and your feedback was spot on!

The NewsGator team is fantastic and with their support, hard work, and more feedback from the community, I am sure the end result is gonna rock and your expectations will be exceeded Kris!

I don't doubt it. Nick (FeedDemon) is simply amazing - I've been using his applications since the early days of HomeSite. And it sure seems like NewsGator has a great vision and they seem to be executing it very well - which is evident by them bringing you onboard. ;)

Looking forward to the results.
