I'm totally new to this phone/PC lark. My previous phone was a 3310i, so I'm feeling a little out of my depth so please bear with me if my questions are n00bish.
My phone is a Windows device, I see, and I've seen lots of software on the internet that I can add to it.
I downloaded a trail version of a stopwatch (which the C550 lacks) and followed the install instructions, but it didn't work. A script opened in IE on my PC with a activex warning. I was hoping it was going to be more straightforward than this, being a Windows device.
Before I go trying again, or with a different stopwatch, could someone just confirm that I didn't do anything badly wrong? I have installed activesync and tried to use that to install the software, but it claimed it couldn't find anything compatible.
Is there a way of copying contacts from the SIM to the phone memory? Orange kindly copied the my contacts from my old phone to the new ones SIM card, but SIM contacts can only have one number per contact. I've ended up with Home1, Home2 etc, rather than Home and two numbers listed under it.
Windows is not a terribly secure OS. What should I be doing to protect myself?
Phew, that's all my questions for now. I'm sure they'll be more.
Thanks in advance, guys.
Paul
Actually, this probably belongs in the hardware section, rather than here in Orange! Eeek.
