Originally Ed Whitacre had said they were dumping the Cingular brand name entirely, according to the original story I posted <a href="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9687">here</a>. I still think they should just bury the ATT (AT&T or whatever it is this week) brand forever.
